1. Introduction 

1.1 This Circular is, except during December, published on a weekly basis and contains the advertisements of vacant posts and jobs in Public Service departments. 

1.2 Although the Circular is issued by the Department of Public Service and Administration, the Department is not responsible for the content of the advertisements. Enquiries about an advertisement must be addressed to the relevant advertising department. 

2. Directions to candidates 

2.1 Applications on form Z83 with full particulars of the applicants’ training, qualifications, competencies, knowledge and experience (on a separate sheet if necessary or a CV) must be forwarded to the department in which the vacancy/vacancies exist(s). 

NB: PROSPECTIVE APPLICANTS MUST PLEASE USE THE NEW Z83 WHICH IS EFFECTIVE AS AT 01 JANUARY 2021. 

2.2 Applicants must indicate the reference number of the vacancy in their applications. 

2.3 Applicants requiring additional information regarding an advertised post must direct their enquiries to the department where the vacancy exists. The Department of Public Service and Administration must not be approached for such information. 

2.4 It must be ensured that applications reach the relevant advertising departments on or before the applicable closing dates. 3. Directions to departments 

3.1 The contents of this Circular must be brought to the attention of all employees. 

3.2 It must be ensured that employees declared in excess are informed of the advertised vacancies. Potential candidates from the excess group must be assisted in applying timeously for vacancies and attending where applicable, interviews. 

3.3 Where vacancies have been identified to promote representativeness, the provisions of sections 15 (affirmative action measures) and 20 (employment equity plan) of the Employment Equity Act, 1998 should be applied. Advertisements for such vacancies should state that it is intended to promote representativeness through the filling of the vacancy and that the candidature of persons whose transfer/appointment will promote representativeness, will receive preference.

2 AMENDMENTS : INDEPENDENT POLICE INVESTIGATIVE DIRECTORATE: Kindly note that the following post were advertised in Public Service Vacancy Circular 24, dated 01 July 2022, The Reference number have been amended as follows for Director: Supply Chain and Assets Management (National Office: Pretoria) with Ref No (Q9/2022/47): The closing date is 15 July 2022. 

PROVINCIAL ADMINISTRATION: LIMPOPO: DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE AND RURAL DEVELOPMENT: Kindly note that the post of Senior Personnel Practitioner: Human Resource Provisioning & Utilisation which was advertised in Public Service Vacancy Circular 23 dated 24 June 2022 with post Ref No: LDARD 38/06/2022 is amended as follows: Senior Personnel Practitioner: Human Resource Services (02 Posts); with the duties as follows Identification of budgeted vacant posts to be advertised. Writing of submission of budgeted vacant posts to Head Office for advertisement. 

Distribution of circulars for advertised posts. Receiving, scheduling of applications, short-listing, interviews, invitations of candidates for interviews and formation of panel members. Provision of secretariat services. Implement appointment on PERSAL. Notification of successful candidates and reporting of assumption of duty. Handling of transfers and translations. Handling of acting on higher posts.

 Capturing of probationary reports. Handling of exit interviews. Development of EE report, Updating of post establishment and vacancy rate. Termination of service on PERSAL. The post of Senior Personnel Practitioner: Conditions of Service with post Ref No: LDARD 39/06/2022 is hereby withdrawn. The correct Centre for the post of Senior State Accountant: Expenditure Management Ref No: LDARD 40/06/2022 is Head Office: Polokwane. 

Applicants who referred their applications to Mopani District need not reapply since their applications will be redirected to Head Office: Polokwane. Correct duties for the post of IT Network Administrator Ref No: LDARD 34/06/2020 is as follows: Configuring of computers, laptops and printers. 

Provide 1st line support to all users at the Department. Provide technical support to the voice and data integration networks and unified messaging. Ensure that users equipment and software in the Department are kept up to date, to keep abreast with new technology. 

Assist Deputy Director GITO with daily operations and functioning of the network. Ensure that the anti-virus software, patches and fixes are loaded on the servers and computers. 

Ensure that internet security, network security and physical security measure are taken against malicious harm and theft. Ensure that the network is fully redundant and that high-speed backbone and infrastructure is implemented to accommodate new and improved technologies. 

Ensure that the network infrastructure can handle new initiatives that are aligned to e-Government. Ensure that network printers are fully operational, shared for specific users and configurations are set for optimal printing. 

Ensure effective backups and back up strategies are implemented. Ensure that all software is fully licensed and upgraded/renew software licences as and when required. The closing date of the 22 July 2022 remains. 

PROVINCIAL ADMINISTRATION: LIMPOPO: DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT: 

Kindly note that The Post 23/425 Ref: DSD/2022/33 – Information Technology Technician: (04 Posts) advertised in Public Service Vacancy Circular No 23 of 2022 with the closing date of 15 July 2022, positions were advertised with incorrect Salary Level and Notch. 

The correct Salary Level and Notch is Salary Level 7: Notch: R267 372. The requirements and the key results areas remain the same. 

The closing date for the Information Technology Technician posts only is now extended from 15 July 2022 to 29 July 2022.General enquiries about the advertised posts should be directed to Mr Sekgobela MJ/ Mogotlane QLM or Ms Gafane ME at 015 230 4315/ 4375/ 4426.
