2. Cape Winelands Health District: Robertson Hospital, Langeberg Sub-district

Requirements:

• Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
• Experience in the transportation of personnel, goods, and possibly medical supplies within a Health Facility setup.
• Valid (Code B/EB) driver’s license.
• Physical fitness to lift and load heavy items.
• Ability to work overtime, on standby, and during weekends and public holidays.
• Knowledge of Transport regulations and basic vehicle maintenance.

Duties:

• Transportation of official passengers, post, packages, chronic medication, equipment, and heavy laundry bags.
• Ensure routine vehicle maintenance, cleaning, and perform administrative duties related to vehicle management such as filling out logbooks accurately.
• Conduct routine inspections of vehicles and report defects.
• Respond to emergencies as required and assist in other duties within the transport department.
