To Apply for correctional services learnership You can get the Corrrectional services Application Forms for Admission to a Learnership in DCS form from any Correctional Services Office, or you can download it from the Department of Correctional Services website.The e-DCS website is www.dcs.gov.za under the Forms Tab Once you access the website, look at the top or bottom for the link that says “Forms” and click on it. Then click on the Internship/Learnership Application Forms link.

Make sure to indicate the learnership position you are seeking for when submitting your application (e.g., DCS Corrections Service Learnership: Gauteng Region: Leeuwkop (Ref GP02)

Make sure you personally sign the application.

Attach certified copies of your diplomas and IDs (these copies must have undergone certification within the last three months; you can obtain certification at any police station).

• Application forms that are late or unsigned will not be accepted
• Photocopied forms will not be accepted
• Faxed or e-mailed forms will not be accepted

Keep in mind that you will be responsible for covering the costs of your own lodging, transportation, and meals while receiving workplace training. Therefore, it is advised that you apply for a learnership in the Region or Management Area that is nearest to your home.

Correctional Services completed You can mail (send at the post office) or hand-deliver learnership application forms and all required supporting documentation to the Regional Commissioner at the Management Office closest to your home. How do I apply for correctional services learnership? You can obtain the correctional services learnership form 2022 from your nearest correctional centres and regional offices.

It is also available for download from their website, www.dcs.gov.za. Please take note that the forms are free to use. Fill out the application with your own handwriting. Be specific about the position you’re looking for, and make sure you complete the form entirely and sign it. Also, include copies of all necessary paperwork.

These include your Identity document (ID), certified copies of your matric certificate or an equivalent, an affidavit of the property owner if the applicant is not the owner of the property that is not older than 3 months.

Neither late, incomplete, nor unsigned application forms shall be accepted. 

You are suggested to apply at the branch closest to your place of residence because you will need to pay for your travel and lodging during your experiential learning. After being chosen, you will be contacted and given the admission letter and learnership reference number for the correctional services.
