Who Should Apply?
We welcome applications from ambitious and motivated recent graduates or diploma holders (2022 / 2023 / 2024) who meet the following:
- Qualification: National Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in relevant fields (Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain, Business Management, Information Systems, etc.).
- Academic performance: Minimum average or equivalent (e.g. 60% or higher) in your qualification.
- South African citizenship and valid ID.
- Willingness to work at different sites as needed.
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Computer literacy (MS Office suite).
- No or limited work experience — this is an entry-level opportunity.
What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities)
As a Trainee at Transnet under Reference 3526, you will:
- Support project teams and departments in daily tasks.
- Assist in data collection, analysis, and reporting.
- Participate in training sessions, workshops, and knowledge-sharing forums.
- Engage in rotation through different business units for broader exposure.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives.
- Assist with administrative tasks, documentation, and compliance.
- Work under supervision but take ownership of assigned responsibilities.
