Stellenbosch Municipality
Stellenbosch Municipality is a sector of the government of South Africa responsible for governing the towns of Franschhoek, Pniel, Stellenbosch, and the surrounding rural areas in the Western Cape province.
The Stellenbosch Municipality Bursary initially began to provide aid to students from financially restrained families so that they will have the means to complete their tertiary education. The bursaries will help candidates who show great potential and have exceptional grades.
Stellenbosch Municipality Bursary Applications
In partnership with the Government of Western Cape through the Provincial Treasury Department, the Stellenbosch Municipality will award for the Academic Year 2021 bursaries for the following fields of study:
- Economics
- Accounting
- Internal Auditing
- Finance
- Risk Management
- Infrastructure (Quantity Surveying and Civil Engineering)
- Supply Chain Management
Stellenbosch Municipality Bursary 2021 Requirements and Eligibility
Applicants must meet the following requirements to qualify for this bursary:
- Must be a citizen of South Africa
- Must reside permanently in Stellenbosch Municipality and the surrounding areas
- Must have a strong academic record
- Must be currently enrolled in Matric or has completed Matric
- Must be currently studying or intends to study full-time towards a postgraduate or undergraduate qualification in one of the fields of study mentioned above
- Must be currently studying or intends to study at one of the registered South African Higher Educational and Training Institutions
- Must be a currently unemployed youth

Applicants must submit clear copies of the following documents along with their accomplished form.
- A certified copy of an ID document
- A certified copy of their most recent Matric if currently enrolled in Matric
- A certified copy of their Matric certificate if they have already completed Matric
- A certified copy of the complete academic record if currently studying at the tertiary level
- Proof of application or registration at a tertiary institution printed on the university’s letterhead
- A certified copy of a proof of address in the form of an affidavit or a Municipal account
- Curriculum Vitae
