• Grade 1: R220 614 per annum
• Grade 2: R262 287 per annum
• Grade 3: R306 798 per annum

• Trauma and Emergency (1 Post)
• Theatre and Day Ward (1 Post)
• Neonatal ICU (1 Post)
• Mixed Surgery (1 Post)

Requirements

Minimum Educational Qualification:

• Qualification that allows registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Staff Nurse.

Registration:

• Current registration with the SANC as a Staff Nurse.

Experience:

• Grade 1: None required.
• Grade 2: Minimum of 10 years’ appropriate/recognisable experience in nursing after registration with the SANC as Staff Nurse.
• Grade 3: Minimum of 20 years’ appropriate/recognisable experience in nursing after registration with the SANC as Staff Nurse.

Inherent Requirements of the Job:

• Willingness to work shifts, including night duty, weekends, and public holidays.
• Expected to rotate within hospital departments as needed.

Competencies (Knowledge/Skills):

• Knowledge of nursing processes and procedures as outlined in the Nursing Act and SANC regulations.
• Aseptic technique and wound dressing competency.
• Basic knowledge of pharmacology and dosage calculations.
• Understanding of health education principles and the nursing care process.
• Awareness of medical-legal hazards.
• Professionalism and strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to be responsive, proactive, flexible, assertive, and supportive.
• Demonstrated leadership ability.

• Develop and implement basic patient care plans.
• Provide basic clinical nursing care according to professional standards.
• Ensure effective use of physical and financial resources.
