Glencore is focused on the value of professional skills base development and maintenance hence, the constant flow of new talent into the company’s operations is a strategic commitment to their and the individual’s future. Through this, Glencore has offered annual bursaries and scholarships in the fields of studies such as mining, mechanical, electrical, chemical and metallurgical engineering.
The scholarship program will cover registration fees, tuition fees, residence fees, meal fees, prescribed textbooks, personal allowance, laptop with a printer, paid vacation work with the company as well as all obligatory seminars and excursions expenses. The scholarship amounts to $10,000 per year, which is given directly to the recipient by Glencore in first, second, third and fourth years of Engineering study.
Glencore will also provide the scholarship beneficiary paid vacation employment for three months during the second and third year from December to February.
Bursary Requirements and Eligibility
- Willing to work in Australia
- Current full-time student of an Undergraduate Degree in a Queensland University
- Female
- Completed one full year of study in the chosen course
