SAPS Learnership Requirements:
Applicants must be between the ages of 18 and 35 to be considered. Candidates who make the short list may be required to take the following tests:
- A Test of English Proficiency
- Is there a fitness test that includes running? Males run 2.4 kilometers in 11 minutes? Females run 2.4 kilometers in 14.30 minutes.
- A Medical Check-Up
- Obstacle Course? Provide a Medical Certificate showing candidates’ ability to participate in strenuous workouts (Physical Examination) Males must finish in under 3 minutes? females in 4 minutes?
- Firearm Training? Theoretical & Practical
Candidates must be willing to serve in any province or department of their choice. Candidates must be willing to work for free during the necessary physical and abnormal training periods. Candidates must complete all departmental training requirements.
What is the aim of the learnerships offered by the South African Police Service?
