Air Traffic and Navigation Services SOC Limited (ATNS) AIMO Bursaries
The bursary provides support for studies at the ATNS Aviation Training Academy (ATA) in Bonaero Park. This particular programme focuses on Aeronautical Information Management Officer (AIMO).
Aeronautical Information Management is the framework system of the Air Traffic Management body. The ATNS AIMO bursary aims to develop skills in the ATS flight-planning, Communications, NOTAM, Static and dynamic data management, Publication of Integrated Aeronautical Information packages, Aeronautical flight procedural design and charting and Aeronautical surveying.
The process of the bursary program will include ability assessments, interview, medical examination (conducted by an Aviation Medical Specialist) and vetting or verification. The bursary covers tuition, sharing accommodation, transport and meal costs as well as monthly allowance. 10-day non-academic activities may also be offered which will be determined by the bursary coordinators. Bursary holders must pass all the academic subjects at 70% or above otherwise the bursary will be canceled.
Upon bursary holder’s graduation, one year of work for the company must be performed based on the bursary agreement. Permanent employment may also be offered which will include full employment benefits.
ATNS AIMO Bursary Requirements and Eligibility
- Minimum 18-years-old
- Grade 12 with Maths and English (HG D or SG C or level 4 upwards)
- South African citizen
- Medically fit
