All declined Applications cannot be appealed with SASSA or DSD, this is the Final Reconsiderations
Decline Reasons | Meaning |
alternative income sources identified | The applicants had funds of more than R595 flowing into their bank accounts during the reconsideration period. |
identity verification failed | Information provided by the applicant does not match information at the Department of Home Affairs. |
existing Sassa grant | The applicant has been the receipt of the Sassa grant during the reconsideration period. |
nsfas registered | The applicant is a receipt of NSFAS |
uif registered | The applicant received a payout from uif during the reconsideration period. |
gov payroll registered | The applicant is a government employee or is employed at government institutions. |
age range outside >60 | The applicant does not qualify because of age limits and meeting the age requirement during the reconsideration period. |
age range outside < 18 | The applicant does not qualify because of age limits (Minimum must be 18 and above) and meeting the age requirement during the reconsideration period. |
Deceased Record on DHA | The applicant registered was deceased on the department of home affairs database during the reconsideration period. |
