How to Apply for the MSDS Program 2026

The Military Skills Development System (MSDS) is a two-year voluntary service program offered by the South African National Defence Force (SANDF). It provides young South Africans the opportunity to serve in the SA Army, SA Navy, SA Air Force, or SA Military Health Service while receiving military training and career development.

Who Can Apply?

• Be a South African citizen.
• Be between 18 and 22 years old (Graduates up to 26 years old).
• Have completed Grade 12 (Matric) with the necessary subjects required for the specific service.
• Meet medical, fitness, and security clearance requirements.
