About PG Group
The PC Group got founded in 1897 in Cape Town South Africa. It is one of the most well-known companies in South Africa that produces, distributes, and installs the automotive glass, aluminum, and glass film solutions. The PC Group is also known for its investment interests in many huge companies. Another thing that makes the PG Group famous is the bursaries it offers every year to Gauteng and Port Elizabeth students.
PG Group Bursary South Africa Applications
For the Academic Year 2022 to 2023, the PC Group will award bursaries for the following fields:
For Gauteng students:
- Electrical Engineering
- Chemical Engineering
- Control Engineering or Electronic Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Industrial Engineering
For Port Elizabeth students:
- Electrical Engineering
- Chemical Engineering
- Financial Accounting
- Mechanical Engineering
The bursary will cover the following:
- Tuition fees
- Accommodation either within the residence or private accommodation that doesn’t cost more than the residence
- Prescribed books and other study materials
Applicants who qualify for the bursaries will get contacted. They must participate in the comprehensive selection process that includes assessment tests, interviews, reference checks, medical checks, and verification of qualifications.
PG Group Bursary Requirements and Eligibility
Before applying for the bursary, applicants must satisfy the following criteria:
For Gauteng students:
- Must be a citizen of South Africa
- Must reside around or in Springs or Pretoria
- Must have completed Matric with an average of at least 60%
- Must be currently studying full-time towards a degree in one of the fields of study mentioned above
- Must be in their 2nd year of study and must have achieved an average of at least 70% in their current year of study
- Must be currently studying at one of the recognised tertiary institutions in South Africa
For Port Elizabeth students:
- Must be a citizen of South Africa
- Must reside around or in Struandale or Neave
- Must have completed Matric with an average of at least 60%
- Must be currently studying full-time towards a degree in one of the fields of study mentioned above
- Must be in their 2nd year of study and must have achieved an average of at least 70% in their current year of study
- Must be currently studying at one of the recognised tertiary institutions in South Africa
Failure to satisfy all of these requirements will lead to the application getting disregarded.

Applicants must also submit clear copies of the following supporting documents along with the accomplished application.
- A certified copy of an ID document
- A certified copy of the applicant’s Matric certificate
- A complete tertiary academic record printed on the university’s official letterhead
- The proof of income of the applicant’s parents or guardians in the form of their most recent payslips (if employed) or an affidavit (if unemployed)
Failure to submit all of these documents will lead to the application getting disregarded.
