- Grade 1: R165,177 per annum
- Grade 2: R192,675 per annum

Requirements
Minimum Educational Qualification:
- An appropriate qualification that allows registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Nursing Assistant.
Professional Registration:
- Must be registered with the SANC as a Nursing Assistant.
Experience:
- Grade 1: No prior experience required—perfect for new entrants!
- Grade 2: Minimum of 10 years of appropriate/recognizable nursing experience after SANC registration as a Nursing Assistant.
- Grade 3: Minimum of 20 years of appropriate/recognizable nursing experience after SANC registration as a Nursing Assistant.
Inherent Job Requirements:
- Willingness to work shifts, including public holidays, after-hours, night duty, and weekends.
Competencies (Knowledge/Skills):
- Ability to work independently and thrive under pressure.
- Strong communication skills to connect with patients and colleagues effectively.
Key Responsibilities
As a Nursing Assistant, you’ll be at the heart of patient care, with duties including:
- Delivering quality basic nursing care in line with hospital procedures and policies.
- Assisting patients with daily activities such as hygiene, nutrition, mobility, and elimination needs.
- Escorting patients to diagnostic appointments (e.g., X-rays, sonar).
- Supporting professional nurses with clinical procedures and preparing patients for diagnostic or surgical interventions.
- Maintaining accurate records and ensuring efficient use of resources.
