Administration Clerk: Supervisor (x3 Posts)

Salary: R325 101 – R382 959 per annum (Level 07)
Department: South African Department of Defence – Logistics Division

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 / Matric (NQF Level 4) or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in Administration, Public Service, HR or related environment

Skills & Competencies

  • Ability to work independently and professionally with high accountability
  • General computer literacy (MS Office)
  • Good communication & interpersonal skills (written & verbal)
  • Strong organisational, planning and time-management abilities
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Knowledge of public sector policies, legislation & administration procedures
  • Ability to collect, capture and manage data
  • Knowledge of RFIM (Regional Facilities Interface Management) and works maintenance processes (advantage)

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate administrative, personnel, financial and maintenance support services
  • Manage correspondence, filing systems, registers and documentation
  • Handle internal enquiries and ensure proper routing of information
  • Maintain personnel & leave records, attendance registers and administrative databases
  • Coordinate travel bookings, accommodation and staff logistics
  • Supervise subordinates (performance monitoring, task allocation, training etc.)
  • Capture and maintain expenditure records, petty cash, S&T claims and telephone accounts
  • Process documentation related to regional maintenance & facilities management
  • Ensure data accuracy, records integrity and audit compliance
  • Administer registry and archival procedures to ensure secure documentation storage
  • Provide stakeholder liaison and feedback to support RFIM service delivery
