How Often R350 Grant Applicants Must Reconfirm For Grant
The Social Relief of Distress (SRD) grant is a crucial government intervention aimed at ensuring that unemployed individuals receive some support from the South African government.
The South African Social Security Agency (Sassa) began SRD grant payments in June 2022 after two months of the grants’ absence. The reason why no R350 grant payments were made in April was due to a change to the legislation under which the grant was provided.

This change in legislation also meant that all beneficiaries of the grant had to reapply for the crucial relief measure. Sassa added that grant beneficiaries will need to reconfirm their applications after a short period.
