About Gold Fields Ltd
Gold Fields Limited is a producer of gold with eight operating mines in Australia, Ghana, Peru and South Africa with attributable gold mineral reserves, gold mineral resources, copper mineral reserves and mineral resources.
Gold Fields was formed in South Africa in 1887 establishing an office at Doornfontein, Johannesburg. Gold Fields of South Africa and Gencor merged in 1998 which led to forming Gold Fields Limited. Today, Gold Fields has eight leading mining operations across three continents which includes Africa, South America and Australia.
Gold Fields Ltd Bursaries
Gold Fields are offered to self-motivated employees, contractors and community members who wish to study full time at .
The following fields of study are accepted for the bursary programme:
- Metallurgy
- Mineral Survey
- Environmental Management
- Rock Engineering
- Finance
- Human Resources
- Sustainable Development
- Safety
As part of the selection process, applicants will be required to undergo psychometric evaluation. Successful applicants will be required to sign a contract for training programme from Gold Fields. Female applicants as well as applicants who are residents in the South Deep Host Communities and Labour Sending Areas will be given preference.
Gold Fields Ltd Bursary Requirements and Eligibility
- Grade 12 certificate with university exemption/entrance
- Student at a Tertiary Institution and studying programmes relevant to Gold Fields specified fields
- Proof of acceptance from the institution for the chosen qualification of study at a University or University of Technology
- Medically fit in accordance with a risk-based medical examination at the relevant Gold Fields Occupational Health Centre
