Egis Operation South Africa is a subsidiary of the Egis Group, which is internationally recognised as a leading service provider in traffic management, road operations, mobility services, and transport infrastructure development in different continents. For the year 2021, Egis Operation South Africa offers bursaries for students interested in studying in specific fields. The group grants bursaries for one year of study at a time, which students may renew each year.

- University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN)

The bursary will provide coverage for a book allowance and full tuition fees.
Egis Operation Bursary Requirements and Eligibility
Before applying for the bursary, applicants must satisfy the following criteria.
- Must be a citizen of South Africa
- Must have completed Matric with Mathematics, Physical Science, and English
- Must have registered to study towards a Project Management or Electrical Engineering Diploma, Degree, or Certificate qualification
- Must have registered to study at one of the accredited Universities or Universities of Technology in South Africa
- 1st, 2nd, and 3rd-year students may apply
- Must be in financial need
- Must have a strong academic record
- Preference goes to students from previously disadvantaged backgrounds
Failure to satisfy all of these requirements will lead to the application getting disregarded.

Applicants must also submit clear copies of the following supporting documentation along with their accomplished form.
- A certified copy of an ID document
- A certified copy of the applicant’s most recent Matric results, if currently enrolled in Matric
- A certified copy of the applicant’s Matric certificate, if they already completed Matric
- A certified copy of the applicant’s 1st semester academic record if currently studying at university
- A letter of acceptance from the applicant’s tertiary institution printed on the university’s letterhead
- A motivational essay that explains why the applicant deserves the bursary (around 250 words)
- Curriculum Vitae
Failure to submit all of these documents will lead to the application getting disregarded. Applicants must submit their application through email to contact@egis-southafrica.co.za.
Applicants must insert in the email subject line, “Egis Operation Bursary Application –Full Name.”
Only applicants who qualify will get contacted for an invitation to attend an interview. Applicants who don’t get any feedback after one month of the closing date must deem their application unsuccessful.
