๐Ÿ“ Requirements

  • Must display competency in the post-specific core functions.
  • Be fluent in at least two official languages, one of which must be English.
  • Be a South African citizen with no previous criminal or departmental convictions or pending cases.
  • Must undergo a vetting process, including security screening and fingerprint verification.
  • Grade 10 qualification will serve as an advantage.
  • Basic literacy, numeracy, and communication skills.
  • Ability to operate cleaning machines and equipment.
  • Must be willing to work shifts and extended hours.
  • Relevant courses in cleaning or facility maintenance and a valid light-motor vehicle driverโ€™s licence will be advantageous.

๐Ÿงฐ Core Functions

  • Maintain a high level of hygiene in and around the workplace (indoor and outdoor).
  • Perform cleaning tasks such as dusting, polishing, mopping floors, and vacuuming carpets.
  • Clean bathrooms and kitchens daily.
  • Handle and store cleaning materials responsibly.
  • Remove refuse, load and unload goods, and maintain garden areas.
  • Wash and clean state vehicles, kitchenware, and utensils.

  • Undergo fingerprint and background checks.

  • Be disqualified if listed on the National Register for Sex Offenders or Child Protection Register.
  • Be required to provide a DNA sample as per the Criminal Law (Forensic Procedures) Amendment Act, 2013.
