As of February 2025, Absa Bank is offering a 12-month Financial Services Learnership Program designed to equip unemployed South African youth with the skills and experience necessary to pursue a career as a Financial Advisor. The program is set to commence on April 1, 2025.

Eligibility Criteria:

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Citizenship: South African
• Employment Status: Currently unemployed
• Education: Minimum of a Diploma in Finance or a related field
• Additional Qualifications: Completion of a financial planning qualification or RE5 certification is advantageous
• Age: Between 18 and 34 years
• Language Proficiency: Proficient in English
• Criminal Record: No criminal record
• Credit Status: Not blacklisted

Key Responsibilities:

• Sales and Service Delivery:
  • Facilitate activation, conversion, and fulfillment of sales for new and existing customers
  • Build strong, consultative relationships to enhance customer loyalty
• Customer Experience Management:
  • Deliver exceptional customer service
  • Resolve credit and fraud-related queries promptly
• Transactional Activities:
  • Manage daily schedules and tasks efficiently
  • Provide accurate monthly reports on customer trends
• Risk and Governance:
  • Adhere to internal and external risk policies
  • Ensure compliance with NCA, FICA, and FAIS regulations
