1. Graduate Development Programme:
- Educational Qualification: A minimum of a three-year National Diploma (NQF Level 6) or a Bachelor’s Degree (NQF Level 7 or higher).
- Experience: No prior work experience is required.
- Age: SARS encourages applications from individuals between the ages of 18 and 35.
This program aims to develop a high-performing, diverse, agile, and engaged workforce aligned with SARS’s strategic objectives.
2. Chartered Accountant Training Programme:
- Educational Qualification: Applicants should have completed or be in the final year of a SAICA-accredited Chartered Accountancy qualification.
- Experience: No prior work experience is required.
- Additional Requirements: Candidates must meet the competencies outlined by the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA).
This program is designed to develop future leaders in finance and accounting within SARS.
3. Tax Practitioner Readiness Programme:
- Educational Qualification: While specific educational requirements are not detailed, a background in taxation, law, accounting, or related fields is advantageous.
- Experience: No prior work experience is required.
- Additional Requirements: Participants should be registered or in the process of registering with a recognized controlling body for tax practitioners.
This program comprises eight modules covering essential topics for tax practitioners, including legislation, registration processes, eFiling, and debt management.
