📝 Requirements
- Must display competency in the post-specific core functions.
- Be fluent in at least two official languages, one of which must be English.
- Be a South African citizen with no previous criminal or departmental convictions or pending cases.
- Must undergo a vetting process, including security screening and fingerprint verification.
- Grade 10 qualification will serve as an advantage.
- Basic literacy, numeracy, and communication skills.
- Ability to operate cleaning machines and equipment.
- Must be willing to work shifts and extended hours.
- Relevant courses in cleaning or facility maintenance and a valid light-motor vehicle driver’s licence will be advantageous.
🧰 Core Functions
- Maintain a high level of hygiene in and around the workplace (indoor and outdoor).
- Perform cleaning tasks such as dusting, polishing, mopping floors, and vacuuming carpets.
- Clean bathrooms and kitchens daily.
- Handle and store cleaning materials responsibly.
- Remove refuse, load and unload goods, and maintain garden areas.
- Wash and clean state vehicles, kitchenware, and utensils.

🔍 Screening and Verification
All shortlisted candidates will:
- Undergo fingerprint and background checks.
- Be vetted under the Criminal Law (Sexual Offences and Related Matters) Amendment Act, 2007, and the Children’s Act, 2005.
- Be disqualified if listed on the National Register for Sex Offenders or Child Protection Register.
- Be required to provide a DNA sample as per the Criminal Law (Forensic Procedures) Amendment Act, 2013.
